PHOTOS: Blackhawks Aftermath in Lincoln Park

A group of Blackhawks Stanley Cup thugs walking from Wrigleyville jumped police lines on Clark Street north of Diversey. Here's what they did once they were free from supervision.

This Starbucks outlet was particularly hard hit.
A diner enjoys "open air" breakfast at Austrian Bakery,  2523 N. Clark.

Citibank don't play that. A strike mark can be seen on a window at Citibank.  Sorry, assholes. They already thought of that.

A former Caribou Coffee currently under construction to create a cafe called Fuel Station will need a little more construction today.

Liquor store al fresco?

Clean up underway at the Starbucks entrance.

A "smoke shop" is missing its display pipes this morning.
Lito's Empanadas is damaged while Virgin remains untouched. UPDATE: We learned this afternoon that the Virgin Mobile store did have at least one window broken. Either we could not see the damage from the east side of the street or the store completed repairs before our photos were taken.

  2. Who was causing the trouble? Frat boys gone wild or the gang bangers who have been coming into the neighborhood at night?

  3. Somehow I think the Frat Boys as they were being corralled...and maybe some thugs just to add some fun, but I honestly think drunk frats

  4. What is it with people who do stuff like this when "celebrating"? And why can't they do it to their own homes instead?

  11. Why the hell do dumb asshole Frat Boys and/or Thugs feel the need to destroy a neighborhood over a damn sports game. Get a life....Chicago cops should start watching video survalence in the area to catch them. And/or have TONS more police on the streets. Prepared much CPD ??? Thanks Hawks for the win..but can you make a statement asking fans to be respectful of the city.

  13. Virgin's windows were broken out, they (along with many others) simply had better board-up service response than most.

  14. Surely at least one of these businesses had video cameras!

  16. I dont know where to post this, or submit this, but DNAInfo Chicago has an update on the Sunday morning mob attack at the Belmont El:

    http://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20130625/lakeview/mob-beats-man-unconscious-outside-belmont-cta-station

Also - here is a report on an attack at North Avenue Beach...although it is not technically part of Lakeview/Boystown, many people consider the Beach part of the "area" where we live our lives...this guy had $30,000 worth of equipment stolen:

There needs to be a place here on the site for us to submit news, tips, videos, photos, etc.

  17. The police were on site. They did nothing. I saw it all; have photos, too. It was disgusting. A few of us who had our bikes warned drivers to turn around and not go into the madness.

  20. I heard on the Chicago news last night that 23 had been arrested the night of the win. I still don't get why you start breaking windows when you are that drunk and excited.....even thinking back to my crazy college frat years I would never have done that.
